La merke til dette:

  • The result per share during the quarter was -0.08 SEK/share (-0.16 SEK/share)
  • The costs of user acquisition for the period was 21,950 KSEK (13,559 KSEK)

Topplinjemessig ser det bra ut, men så user acquisition økte med 62% og fremdeles negativt resultat. Tøft marked dette her.

Resultatet er vel negativt pga at de økte UA mye . Spørsmålet er jo om de klarer å vokse slik at de får igjen det de bruker og foreløpig ser det jo greit ut. Ser man på MAU/DAU er den litt ned (2/4%) fra samme periode i fjor og det er jo kanskje litt skuffende. Heldigvis har de klart å øke ARPDAU med hele 67%. Det var samme trend for et år siden og viser at de har rett fokus ( Wordzee,new quizduel, word domination og nå word mansion ). Med samme utvikling bør vi se positiv bunnlinje om ikke så lenge.

Apprope bidro med 7MSEK ( var kun med i 2 måneder ) og det virker som om MAG har en del mer kompentanse/ressurser enn Apprope rundt UA så blir interessant å se utviklingen til Word Mansion ( dette er vel bare tilgjengelig i noen få land ) og eventuelt de andre spillene til apprope.

"During Q2 we invested in user acquisition for Wordzee, New QuizDuel, Word Domination and Word Mansion. In total we were able to invest 22 MSEK, compared to 13.5 MSEK in Q2 last year. Our ambition is to further increase investments in user acquisition in Q3 - but as always it will depend on the market conditions and the projected ROI our models show. We continue to target 180 days payback time for our user acquisition on average across our growth games. "

EDIT: Står litt info om Apprope i Note 7 . I Jan/Feb har de 90000 MAU / 320000 MAU og ARPDAU på 11 cent .

Summary of the period March 2020 – May 2021:

The Group’s net sales for the period were 81,381 KSEK (64,838 KSEK), an increase of 26% compared to the same period the previous year
EBITDA for the period was 15,252 KSEK (3,404 KSEK)
Adjusted EBITDA for the period was 15,926 KSEK (3,611 KSEK) (adjustments for EBITDA relate to effects from acquisition costs and social contribution costs from revaluation of option programs)
The Group’s game contribution for the period was 48,912 KSEK (30,710 KSEK), an increase of 59% compared to the same period the previous year
Average revenue per daily active user (ARPDAU) for the period was 5.5 US cents (3.0 US cents), an increase of 84% compared to the same period the previous year
The result per share during the quarter was 0.05 SEK/share (-0.25 SEK/share)
The costs of user acquisition for the period were 23,323 KSEK (26,271 KSEK)
Daily and monthly active users (DAU and MAU) were 1.9 million and 6.2 million respectively during the quarter, a decrease of 20% and 25% compared to the same period the previous year. The decrease can be largely attributed to extraordinary download numbers caused by lockdowns during the spring of 2020.

Blir interessant å se om andre spillselskaper sier det samme som MAG :

“We have not seen any negative impact from the weakening global economy. Neither in-app spending nor ad-monetization KPIs have shown any negative trends during the quarter compared to the same period last year.”

det er vel UA som trekker ned, fin økning i revenue

Det var jo forventet at de hadde brukt mye på UA og man trodde jo på høyere revenue/ebit. Var også noen som reagerte litt på denne :

“In order to maximize opportunities to scale up UA we have allowed for 75% payback of UA campaigns within 180 days, instead of our standard 100%.”

De sa vel på streamen at UA dette kvartalet var lavere så de bør jo presentere en del bedre bunnlinje ved neste rapport.

Hva er definisjonen av payback på UA? Hvis de har 75 % payback etter å ha lagt ned 50 millioner SEK i UA for eks, vil payback si at 75 % kommer tilbake på bunnlinja de neste kvartalene?

En kvalifisert gjetning hadde vært kult. Artig selskap : )

Blir vel mer at bruker man 1mill på UA så skal inntektene fra de brukerene man får inn være 1mill ( eller 750k med den nye policyen ) de neste 180 dagene.

Ser foresten at CEO har presisert litt rundt tidligere UA :
