Arendal, 16 December 2021: Norse and the company’s pilots’ association have signed a collective agreement that is valid until March 2024. The parties are represented by NHO Lustrarte/NHO and Norsk Flygerforbund/LO, respectively. The agreement is the result of a constructive dialogue that commenced when Norse launched its plans for long-haul flights earlier this year.

Arendal, 20 December 2021: Norse Atlantic Airways today took delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The arrival of the aircraft was celebrated at Oslo Airport and the new airline is on track to start transatlantic flights in spring 2022.

The flight from Warsaw, Poland was operated by Norse’s own captains Kjetil Risan, Derek Spicer, Dean Kitchen and Ulf Heikmann.

Norse’s first aircraft is a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and is leased from BOC Aviation, one of the world’s largest aircraft leasing companies. The airline’s aircraft will be named after popular national parks, and this plane is named Rondane (one of Norway’s largest national parks). Norse’s planned fleet of aircraft consists of 12 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and three Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. The next deliveries will continue until April and all aircraft will be initially parked at Oslo Airport. The aircraft leases are at attractive rates and payment terms, allowing the Company a flexible implementation during start-up of its operation, with Norse only paying on a “power by the hour” basis at the outset.

Pilot and cabin crew recruitment

The company received more than 3,000 applications to its initial 50 pilot
positions based in Oslo and training has now commenced. The first cabin crew
base will be established in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and training of the first
class of a total of more than 400 team members will start in a few weeks. Cabin
crew bases in other locations will be established in line with increased
operation.

Dreamliner fleet

Norse has a fleet of modern and more environmentally friendly Boeing 787
Dreamliners. The company has taken delivery of four aircraft that are currently
parked at Oslo Airport. The remaining 11 will be delivered consecutively in the
coming months. The company will start cautiously and gradually add capacity in
line with demand.

is expected to be in June 2022. At the same time, the Company has secured
important slots at London Gatwick Airport.

“The tragedy unfolding in Ukraine creates uncertainties within international air
transport that we take seriously. Norse’s flexible fleet arrangements, low cost
base and strong financial foundation allow us to take a careful approach to
launch. We are in a unique position as we have not yet started flying, which
gives us the advantage to enter the market cautiously in line with demand and
quickly adapt to unforeseen events. A gradual approach where ramp-up is
exclusively driven by demand, will enable us to preserve our strong, debt-free

Norse intends to commence flights in June, flying between Norway and select
destinations in the U.S. It plans to add other European destinations, such as
Paris and London, as soon as the market situation allows. Recently securing
important slots at London Gatwick Airport gives the airline access to one of the
most attractive markets in Europe. The slots were awarded to Norse at no cost by
the UK airport slots coordinator.

Gatwick Airport as it gives us access to a very attractive market. We look

The route network will be announced when ticket sales are launched.

“We have the necessary flexibility to quickly adapt to unforeseen events and
ramp up with more aircraft and affordable flights to exciting destinations as
soon as the market situation allows. A highly motivated Team Norse and the fact
that we currently only pay for our aircraft when they are in operation also
gives us a competitive advantage,” Larsen added.

transatlantic travel. However, we strongly believe that the demand will bounce
-back with full force because people will want to explore new destinations,

Pilot and cabin crew recruitment

Norse has secured pilots and cabin crew sufficient for the initial routes. A
pilot base has been established in Oslo and the first cabin crew base has been
established in Fort Lauderdale. Training of the pilot and cabin crew instructors
has commenced with a steady ramp-up planned for crew to start to ensure that
Norse only takes on crew cost immediately before take-off. The company has also
started cabin crew recruitment in Oslo and will establish crew bases in several
locations in line with increased operation.

Norse has signed collective bargaining agreements with pilot and cabin crew
unions in Norway, the US and UK.

Dreamliner fleet

Norse has a fleet of modern, more environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient
Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The Company has taken delivery of nine aircraft that are

Norse Atlantic Airways to sublease four of its Boeing 787 Dreamliners

“This sublease agreement with Air Europa provides a compelling opportunity to
generate positive cash flow from aircraft that we were not planning to fully
utilize in our start-up phase. The agreement strengthens our already solid
financial position as we continue to stay true to our strategy of cautiously
entering the market and ramping up based on customer demand,” said Norse CEO
Bjørn Tore Larsen.

The aircraft will be delivered to Air Europa in the second quarter. The sublease
is subject to completion of documentation, expected to occur around the end of
April.

Norse commences ticket sales later this month and the first flight will take off
in June. Norse plans to serve destinations including Oslo, Paris, London, New
York, Los Angeles and Florida. The route network will be announced when ticket
sales are launched.

“We strongly believe that the demand for transatlantic travel will eventually
bounce-back with full force because people will want to explore new
destinations, visit friends and family and travel for business. Norse will be
there to offer attractive and affordable flights on our more environmentally
friendly and fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliners to both leisure and cost
-conscious business travelers,” Larsen said.
